Client referral terms

These terms apply when you share a Juno referral code.

If you’re buying or selling a property, our terms and conditions for conveyancing apply to you instead.

If you’re an estate agent or mortgage broker referring a client to Juno, our agent and broker referral terms apply to you instead.

How it works

  • Client referral deals are offers we share with certain people from time to time. They’re time-limited offers, and we can change or withdraw them at any time. (If we change a referral deal we’ve shared with you, we’ll try to give you as much notice as possible.)
  • You can share your referral code, or the link that contains it, with anyone who might need a conveyancer to work on the sale or purchase of a residential property in England or Wales (a “transaction”).
  • For the discount and any reward to apply, the person you refer must use your link or enter your code when they get their quote from our website (www.juno.legal). We can’t add a referral code to a quote after it’s been requested, so it’s worth reminding them to use it.
  • Your referral code is for new clients. It cannot be applied to a transaction we’re already handling, whether that’s yours or someone else’s. You can use your own code for the discount on a future transaction of your own, but there’s no reward for referring yourself.
  • The person you refer gets the discount we’ve attached to your code, taken off our legal fees. It’s one discount per person, whether they’re selling, buying, or both. If they’re selling and buying at the same time, we take it off their sale.
  • If your referral deal includes a reward, you’ll get it once all of these have happened:
    1. The person you referred has instructed us.
    2. Their sale is agreed.
    3. We’ve received the memorandum of sale from the estate agent. This is the estate agent’s written confirmation that a sale has been agreed.
    4. Everyone on their case has passed our identity checks.
  • We tell you what the reward is when we invite you to share your code, for example in your Juno dashboard or in an email from us. The reward is usually a gift voucher.
  • You get one reward per transaction, once it meets the conditions above. If the person you refer is selling and buying at the same time and comes to us for both together, we treat the linked sale and purchase as one transaction, so that’s one reward, not two. Once we’ve sent it, the reward is yours even if the transaction later falls through.
  • We’ll let you know when someone signs up using your code or link, but we can’t tell you who they are or anything about their transaction.

Rules for sharing your code

  • Only one referral code can be used on each transaction or set of linked transactions. Referral codes cannot be combined with other offers or discounts, and only apply to quotes requested directly from our website (www.juno.legal). We can’t promise to take on every case, including yours or the person you refer.
  • You can share your referral code as many times as you like, including on social media and other online platforms, and there’s no limit on the value you can receive from successful referrals. However, we do ask that you don’t make false statements about Juno or your relationship to us, and that you don’t include your referral code in paid-for advertising.
  • We reserve the right to disable your referral code or change the underlying referral deal if you do anything we’ve asked you not to do, or for any other reason.
  • We may share your name and contact details with a company that helps us send your reward, for example a voucher provider.
  • Your referral code is tied directly to you, and the rewards you earn from sharing it can’t be transferred to anyone else. If a reward counts as taxable income, you’re responsible for declaring it to HMRC and paying any tax.

Jurisdiction

English law applies to all of our client referral deals. By sharing your referral code you agree that any dispute goes to the English courts.
