How do I sell my home with Juno?

After you’ve had your property valued, you'll probably choose an estate agent to help you sell it.

At the same time, you'll also need to find a solicitor, so that you're ready to go as soon as you've had an offer. That's where we come in.

Unlike some lawyers, we know how to use the internet

We start with an online form that only takes couple of minutes to fill in. Then, we'll send you a few other forms to fill out — these take around an hour to complete.

Once that's done, we'll draft your contract and get all the boring (but important) stuff together, then send it over to your buyer's lawyer.

A lot of law firms take a week or longer to get this done — but we're different. If we've got everything we need, we can get it done in a day, and you'll never have to visit our office in person.

How long will it take, and what do I need?

Selling your home normally takes between 10 to 12 weeks, but this can vary.

We’ll kick things off by carrying out our standard ID checks. Have copies of your ID documents ready and take a look at our guide to ID checks to see what we're looking for.

We can then start lining things up on any mortgages and loans while your buyer’s lawyer carries out property searches. These can take up to 6 weeks, and while there’s often not a lot you can do to speed up this process, we try and help as best as we can.

After their searches are complete, your buyer will probably ask for a bit more information, so we’ll help you answer any questions they have. When they’ve got everything they need, you’ll both be ready to go ahead with the sale.

Once we've got the money from your buyer, we'll pay your mortgage and any other fees, then send you the rest of the money.

How much will it cost?

The biggest cost when selling your home is the estate agency fees. High street estate agents usually charge anywhere between 1% and 2.5% of the final sale price — plus VAT. It's worth doing some research to see what you'll pay when your sale finishes.

When it comes to legal fees, it's much simpler. At Juno, we always charge a flat fee — we’ll never hit you with any nasty hidden charges before, during or after your sale.

We charge £499 for selling a freehold property, and £599 for selling a leasehold or share of freehold property — that includes ID checks, bank transfers, land registry fees and VAT.
